(2) For those who like to read a humorous account of 50+ days of travel in a Airstream Caravan throughout the Southwest four corner states of Colorado, Arizona, Utah and New Mexico.
(3) For those who have wondered what an Airstream Caravan is like, and what to expect while traveling on a caravan.
(4) For those who would like to do and go where this caravan went but don’t have the time to do it all at one time.

This book is broken up into chapters with each one showing a different day of our trip. Where we stayed, where we ate, what we saw in the near by areas. Hot links to a Google map of the area, Links to campgrounds, attractions and other details of each site.
This is designed so you can either follow in our footsteps or pick and choose which places you want to go to and see on your own timeframe. On the Caravan we had specific times for each spot and there were many we would have liked to stay longer.
Each location has driving suggestions on roads to take. (at the time of our caravan in 2015)
We were new to Airstreams this year but we previously had a Class C motorhome. We always admired Airstreams and whenever we encountered one over the previous 5 years we were always struck at how friendly and eager the people were to show their Airstreams to us. We finally took the plunge and got one in April of 2015. Not a new one, a 2005 Airstream Classic 30’. Our first trip was to the Alumapalooza at the Airstream factory in Ohio. It was a great experience and a wonderful introduction to being part of the Airstream family.
One of the things we could now do was go on an Airstream caravan hosted by the WBCCI, the Airstream club that’s been around for 50 or more years. We looked at those available and decided we would like to go on the Southwest Adventure Caravan but it was booked solid for 2015. I looked all over the net and could not find anything about these caravans other than everyone telling me how great they were and we would love it. Still I wanted to know just exactly what they were all about. That desire and the lack of that information was the original reason for this book. Then as work progressed I got the idea of providing all the information one would need to do this caravan on their own. After all, this only happens once a year and only 30 campers can go on it. That leaves out a lot of people. I designed this book so you can use it to decide what areas you want to visit and use it to plan your trip. I’ve made a video showing how the planning part is done (here) I’ve made this book to be what I would have loved to have before we went on this caravan. I must say however, that everyone who said we would love it were right! It was probably the best time I’ve had in my life and I can hardly wait to do it again.

This book has about 572 pictures,. We took thousands of them and I tried to pick the best of those for the book. We went to a lot of places and saw a lot of things and took a lot of pictures. There are also about 56 maps with many live links to campgrounds and other places you can use to help plan your own trip.

This is a fantastic account of travels in the four corners area of the states of Colorado, Arizona, New Mexico and Utah. It would be useful also for people who want to do a car trip because they could excerpt the areas they want to see and still have a wonderful trip even if they do not use RVs or take an Airstream trip. The photographs are outstanding and make you feel as though you are actually along for the trip. The details are really helpful and the links add so much for anyone wanting to plan such a trip. Makes me want to take a road trip right away. This is a good read just to learn about and see the photos of this wonderful area of our great country -- even if you don't take a trip there!
